Seasonal gutter cleaning in Tamworth from £84. An annual clean protects your property against damp, fascia rot, foundation damage, and render staining — problems that cost hundreds or thousands to fix. Book once, we'll remind you every year so your gutters never get neglected. Prevention is always cheaper than repair.

When Is the Best Time to Clean Gutters?

Timing matters. Clean too early and the gutters fill up again before winter. Leave it too late and you're already dealing with overflow damage. The best approach depends on your property, your surroundings, and how much debris your gutters collect — but there are clear windows that give you the best value from every clean.

Also Good

Late Spring

Apr – May

Clears winter debris and moss growth before summer downpours. Ideal as a second clean.

Summer

Jun – Aug

Gutters are usually at their cleanest. Good for one-off cleans if you missed spring.

Early Autumn

Sep – Oct

Leaves are still falling — cleaning now means they'll fill up again before winter hits.

Why Annual Cleaning Matters

Gutters don't suddenly fail. They deteriorate gradually — a slow build-up of moss, silt, and leaf debris that compacts over time, holds water against the fascia boards, and eventually overflows. By the time you notice water pouring down the walls, the damage behind the guttering has already started: saturated brickwork, rotting timber, damp plaster, and stained render.

An annual clean breaks this cycle. It removes debris before it compacts, keeps water flowing to the downpipes, and gives us the chance to spot early signs of gutter damage — cracked sections, failed joints, missing clips — before they become expensive problems.

The Cost of Prevention vs Repair

Annual Gutter Clean
From £84
Once a year, 30–60 minutes, ground-level only. GoPro proof, all downpipes flushed, damage flagged early.
Typical Repair Costs
£500–£5,000+
Damp treatment, fascia replacement, replastering, repointing, render repair, foundation drainage work.

What Happens When Gutters Go Uncleaned

Year 1

Light debris accumulates — leaves, moss fragments, grit from roof tiles. Water still flows but slows at bends and downpipe outlets.

Year 2–3

Debris compacts and holds moisture. Moss begins growing in the gutter channel. Downpipes start to slow. First signs of overflow in heavy rain.

Year 3–5

Gutters overflow regularly. Water saturates the fascia boards, stains render, and penetrates brickwork. Damp patches appear inside. Weeds and grass grow from the gutter.

Year 5+

Fascia boards rot and need replacing. Brickwork pointing fails. Interior damp and mould establish. Foundation-level water damage on ground floors. Repair costs escalate rapidly.

Former Local Authority Cleaning Inspector · Est. 2000

I've been maintaining gutters professionally for over 25 years, and I know from experience that an annual clean is the single best thing you can do to protect your property. Most of the expensive repair jobs I see — rotting fascias, damp walls, stained render — could have been prevented with a yearly visit.

When you join our seasonal plan, I personally remind you when your clean is due, turn up on the agreed date, and send you the GoPro photos afterwards. Same person every year, building up a picture of how your gutters are performing over time.

Seasonal Debris in Tamworth

Tamworth's housing estates are surrounded by mature trees — oak, birch, sycamore, and ash line the streets across Amington, Glascote, Bolehall, and Dosthill. These trees drop significant leaf volume in autumn, and the seeds, catkins, and blossom that follow in spring add a second wave of debris that many homeowners don't anticipate.

Moss is the other year-round problem. The concrete roof tiles found on most 1960s–80s properties across Wilnecote, Stonydelph, Belgrave, and Mile Oak grow moss continuously. It breaks off in chunks during rain and wind, washing straight into the gutter channel. Even properties without overhanging trees can have completely blocked gutters from moss alone — which is why an annual clean is essential regardless of your surroundings.

Areas We Cover

Seasonal Gutter Cleaning FAQs

How often should I get my gutters cleaned?
At least once a year for most properties — ideally in late autumn after the leaves have fallen. If you have overhanging trees or heavy roof moss, a second clean in spring is recommended. We'll advise based on what we find during your first clean.
Is the seasonal plan a contract?
No. There's no contract or commitment. We simply add you to our annual reminder list and get in touch when your clean is due. You're free to skip a year or cancel at any time — no notice period, no penalties.
Why is the seasonal price from £84 instead of £75?
The seasonal clean includes priority booking, annual reminders, and your year-on-year GoPro photo history. You're guaranteed a slot during peak season when our diary fills up fastest — late autumn and early spring. The small premium ensures you're never left waiting.
Can I book a seasonal plan for multiple properties?
Absolutely. If you're a landlord or manage multiple properties, we offer portfolio discounts on top of the seasonal plan. See our Landlord Gutter Services page for details.
What if I need a clean outside my scheduled time?
No problem. Seasonal customers can book additional cleans at any time at our standard rates. If you have a blockage or emergency between scheduled visits, call us and we'll attend as quickly as possible.
Do you clean gutters in winter?
Yes. Our SkyVac operates in all weather conditions, and winter is when blocked gutters cause the most damage. We clean throughout November, December, and January — including during rain, which actually helps us confirm water flow through the downpipes.

Our Service Guarantee

Every seasonal clean backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something's not right, we'll return and put it right at no extra cost — this year and every year.
